I consider myself an organized individual who has earned advanced degrees and whom enjoyed a challenging career. I have traveled around the world and learned from all these experiences. But when I was falsely accused of a felony crime, the world I knew changed completely. I was lost, gripped in fe...ar over what could possibly happen and worst of all I had no clue what to do next. All I knew about the justice system came from the fiction I enjoyed reading. My most recent book was about a cop charged with his wife's murder. I clearly remember the main character advising another, saying you should never walk into a police station to be questioned, without first speaking to a lawyer. I had no better advice to follow. I called my family lawyer the next morning. After explaining the situation, he immediately referred me to Mr. Walter Reynoso. I was in a complete state of panic just dialing Walters office. My lawyer had advised me that I was in need of a criminal defense attorney. These words seemed so intimidating. I was an innocent person, but I also knew I had to convince many total strangers of this fact. I was in need of help. Help is what I found in Walter and his staff. By the end of the first phone call Walter had put my mind at ease. He was honest, direct and made all the facts clear to me. He outlined a plan and immediately began to build a case. Within a week, my nightmare was over. I can go on in my life today because of Walter Reynoso. I shudder to think what could have happened to me had Walter not taken my case. I hired Mr. Reynoso and his brother Luis to represent me in a capital case. I was promised my case would be reviewed on a weekly basis in meetings they conduct. As part of my representation a "specialist" attorney in the area of law that my case was in attorney would be part of the legal team. I pai...d a pretty hefty sum for this representation. After forking over my entire representation fee, I no longer met or dealt with Mr. Reynoso and was instead handled by his brother who at the time was a fresh graduate lawyer. Needless to say, his brother lacked the experience and the initiative to represent me at times yawning during the "meetings" showing no interest in my case. I ended up requesting a meeting with Mr. Reynoso where he in fact denied ever stating that my case would be reviewed and even went so far as stating that he had not reviewed my case since the time he was hired. Mr. Reynoso's brother was verbally reprimanded by the judge at the time for being late, not being prepared for hearings and not having sufficient reasons for requesting continuances. I finally had to fire Mr. Reynoso and his brother from this case after he requested an additional $50K to personally be at the trial. Mr. Reynoso's practice is a family business where his brother and sister work with him. I cannot recommend this law firm to anyone. Their sales pitch is excellent. They make lots of promises but don't deliver.
