Biography
Roberto M. Suárez is a U.S. registered Patent Attorney who brings over 15 years of engineering and product design and development experience to his Patent Prosecution practice. An inventor in his own right, he has developed innovative products for the aviation, marine, consumer electronics, and mobile devices industries. Rob is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as well as the State Bar of Florida and the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Rob’s knowledge of manufacturing and business methods, as well as his grasp of complex technical concepts, helps him to hone in on the most nuanced innovations in order to capture the broadest patentable inventions and distinguish the finer points in a claim. Technical areas of expertise include mobile devices, consumer electronics, aircraft structures, marine/ fishing equipment, injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and software/ process flow charts. Rob was mentored on patent drafting and prosecution by in-house patent counsel while working at Motorola (later a Google company).
Rob earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering as well as his Juris Doctor degree from Florida International University. Locally, he serves on the Board of the Miami Catholic Lawyer’s Guild, has been on the Programming Committee of the Dade County Bar Association/Federal Bar Association’s Mindfulness in Law Joint Task Force, and is active in the Belen Alumni Lawyers’ Section. Rob is fluent in Spanish.

Excellent Patent Assistance
