Biography
Robert Hudson is a shareholder and co-founder of the law firm of Hudson & Calleja, LLC, a certified Minority Business Enterprise under Chapter 287, Florida Statutes and the winner of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s 2011-2012 “Emerging Business of the Year” award. His practice focuses on personal injury litigation, insurance coverage issues, eployment litigation and complex commercial litigation. He has tried cases in state and federal courts, handled appeals in both state and federal appellate courts, and arbitrated cases with the American Arbitration Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Rob has been “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest peer review rating possible, since 2002. He was peer-selected to the Florida Super Lawyers® list in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017, an honor bestowed on less than 5% of lawyers in Florida. He has been peer-selected as one of Florida’s Legal Elite® by Florida Trend Magazine in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 and was named a South Florida Business Leader Legal IMPACT Leaders Honoree in 2010. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, he attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he majored in finance, earning a B.S. in Business Administration in 1990. He continued his studies at the University of Miami School of Law where he received a J.D. in 1993. Rob was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1993 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
