Melanie Erica Chung-Tims

Shareholder, Melanie Chung-Tims, focuses her practice on products liability and civil litigation.  She serves as liaison counsel for Florida Asbestos Litigation.  Ms. Chung-Tims has successfully defended her clients in products liability cases for the past 10-years.  Ms. Chung-Tims' clients include several Fortune 500 companies in various industries. 

Before joining the Bice Cole Law Firm, PL, Ms. Chung-Tims was an associate at two Miami law firms, where she focused her practice on products liability, general commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and real estate transactional work. 

Ms. Chung-Tims received her Juris Doctor from Florida International University in May 2006, and her Bachelors of Science from Florida International University in 2002. She is a member of the Florida Bar, and is admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in Florida, and the The United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Additionally, Ms. Chung-Tims serves on several Florida Bar committees, including: 
     * Florida Bar Leadership Academy Committee (2016-Present)
     * Florida Bar Young Lawyers’ Division Board of Governors Appointed Member (2016-Present)
     * Eleventh Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee "J" (2015-Present), Chair 2016-Present

In addition to her work with the Florida Bar committees, Ms. Chung-Tims is a graduate of the Florida Bar's Leadership Academy (Class III), an active member of the Defense Research Institute, and served as a speaker at DRI Asbestos Medicine Seminar in 2016.  

Ms. Chung-Tims is AV Preeminent Rated with Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected by her peers as a Florida Legal Elite Up & Comer (2014 & 2015) and Super Lawyer Rising Star (2017 & 2018).  In addition, she was recently nominated as a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of South Florida award. 

Outside the office, Melanie is wife and a mother to 3 amazing children.
