Hello my name is Patrick Leake and I'm not one to give reviews but I had to make an exception in regard to Mr. Kevin P. Shaefer of Dabdoub law firm. I have been dealing with a variety of health issues over the past 5 years. Prostate cancer, Cardiomyopathy ,knee and back issues. My long...-term insurance company dropped me after only 2 years after I was seen by one of their independent Physicians. I contacted Kevin Shaefer of Dabdoub law firm and I must say it was the best phone call I have ever made. After he reviewed my information he notified me immediately to give me the particulars of my case. He was up front and honest about what I was up against in which I really appreciated. After a few months Mr Shaefer notified me about the date of Mediation hearing. On the day of the Mediation Mr Shaefer's opening remarks were supremely articulate and on point. His professionalism and experience was very impactful in the decision of the insurance company. The monetary amount of the case was not that significant but Mr. Shaefer treated it as such. I was directed to this Law Firm by a web search and when I contacted them I was assigned Mr Kevin Schaefer. I could tell from my first phone conversation that he put the client's best interest first. I was very happy to find out that he actually had experience against this exact Insurance Company. I... will never understand when a person pays for Disability Insurance and on the rare occasion needs it, the insurance company will deny and fight tooth and nail to make sure they don't have to pay anything out. This firm and my lawyer worked tirelessly on my behalf and after months of negotiations were able to reach a settlement that was agreeable to the Insurance company, the law firm and myself. I know for sure If not for the hard work of Kevin that I probably would of given up. I was advised upfront that this will take time and have a lot of emails going back and forth between him and the insurance company. I was always in the loop and could tell he wasn't going to let this Insurance Company get away with the denial of my benefits I deserved. I so highly recommend Kevin Schaefer!! After being denied by Cigna insurance company for my long term disability benefits that were so rightfully mine... i sought out representation to help with my appeal.
