Can't Reply Too Sick (cough cough)

My experience with Ms. Wood in her professional capacity is not one I can recommend for several serious reasons. First, her response time is consistently unprofessional. I had questions and concerns that could have been resolved within 24 hours, yet responses often took weeks. These delays were r...outinely accompanied by excuses such as illness, travel, inability to speak by phone or weather. In 2026, basic communication is not limited by any of these factors. I believe a simple review of her email activity by her employer would likely reveal a clear pattern of neglect while representing their clients. Equally concerning is the quality of her written legal work that I experienced. Her correspondence frequently reads as informal, emotional, and lacking the structure and tone expected of a trained legal professional. On multiple occasions, I ran writing her writing through AI and as suspected, each time was told it is strikingly inconsistent with what one would expect from someone with a legal education. This raises serious questions about the level of professionalism being applied to client matters. What further undermines confidence is the disconnect between her stated unavailability and her visible activity on a very public social media. During periods when responses were delayed or ignored, she was actively posting throughout the workday on a public social media account sharing videos of her outfit try-ons, nail appointments, and casual content, while also publicly complaining about her "day job" workplace expectations and then plugging her other unrelated business. This creates a concerning impression regarding priorities and professionalism. While I understand that generational differences may influence communication styles, working within a law firm still requires a baseline level of accountability, discretion, and professionalism. Unfortunately, none of these standards were consistently demonstrated in my experience.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education

  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
