George Lambeth Metcalfe Jr.

Principal George Lambeth Metcalfe, P.A., brings decades of experience to family and marital law matters throughout Florida. Since opening his solo practice in 1988, he has evolved from a general civil and appellate practice into a firm focused on divorce and family law cases, including the tax issues that often come with dissolving a marriage. He has handled matters across a wide range of counties, from Miami-Dade and Broward to Marion, Volusia, Indian River, and St. Lucie. George’s background also includes public service as Senior District XI Counsel for Foster Care at Florida HRS, as well as early roles with a Coral Gables firm and the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Beyond his practice, he has taught contract and family law, lectured on child welfare and foster care, and devoted significant time to pro bono work, including founding a law clinic at the Rupert J. Smith Law Library. His professional recognitions reflect both service and reputation, including high Martindale-Hubbell ratings and statewide pro bono honors.
