Biography
After 35 years of litigating, I have shifted my focus to Mediation and Collaborative Law. In July of this year, I received my certification from the Florida Supreme Court as a Family and Circuit Court Mediator. In June and August of this year, I trained in Collaborative Family Law in Boca Raton and Orlando.
I have attended many mediations in the course of my career in civil and family cases, and I know what I like in a Mediator: a good and patient listener and someone who knows potential outcomes in trials before judges and juries and can convey the strengths and weaknesses of cases to the parties. Parties need to hear the down side from a neutral third party professional. In Family Law cases in the area of parenting and timesharing, a good Mediator is able to effectively communicate about the impact of the parties' actions on their children.
Effective September 1, 2014, I will be available for mediations in FT. MYERS, MIAMI, and FT. LAUDERDALE, as I will be spending half of my time in FT. MYERS and half in MIAMI.
