Julian Felipe Montero

Mr. Montero represents individual and corporate clients with their general business and transactional matters, including corporate structuring, business planning, mergers and acquisitions, finance matters and contract preparation and review. Mr. Montero serves as "General Counsel" for several Miami-based businesses, where he advises business-owners with their general commercial legal needs.

Mr. Montero also represents development-stage and mature Franchisors with regulatory compliance matters, and represents foreign Franchisors seeking to establish themselves in the U.S. and U.S. Franchisors seeking to establish themselves in foreign jurisdictions.

Mr. Montero has substantial experience counseling foreign entrepreneurs and businesses on strategies for successfully acquiring or establishing businesses in the United States. He also represents U.S. employers and foreign executives and entrepreneurs with Business Immigration matters. Mr. Montero regularly assists internationally-renowned athletes, entertainers and business-leaders with their immigration needs.

Mr. Montero is a frequent lecturer in International Business Conferences, where he explains general U.S. business and franchise laws to foreign entrepreneurs. Since 2005, Mr. Montero has been a regular speaker at the "Franchise Expo South" conference, where he presents a seminar entitled "Franchising for the Hispanic Market."

Mr. Montero began his career at major international law firms, including White & Case and Greenberg Traurig. He is currently serving a second term as a Director for the Chile - U.S. Chamber of Commerce and is active with several other international chambers of commerce. Mr. Montero frequently assists the Chilean Foreign Ministry and Chilean Consulate General in Miami with a variety of U.S. related legal matters.

Raised in Chile, Mr. Montero is fluent in Spanish. Mr. Montero is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
