Joseph Matthew Wasserkrug

Joseph “Joe” Wasserkrug, an associate with Meland Russin & Budwick, focuses his practice on commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Joe served as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County. He has tried several jury and bench trials and has experience conducting evidentiary hearings and authoring appellate briefs. As a prosecutor, Joe successfully argued several motions where constitutional and evidentiary questions of first impression in Florida were at issue.

While in law school, Joe served on the executive boards of the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board and the University of Miami Business Law Review. He was also a judicial intern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Barry S. Seltzer during the summer of 2012. Prior to attending law school, Joe was a founding member, along with two veterans of the United States Marines Corps, of a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that provides a variety of energy solutions to federal, state, and local governments.
