Although as a small business, we had specific due dates, the process for obtaining the FL Liquor Licence was disorganized and sloppy. One partner who was out of town received documents via FedEx that had an incorrect DOB. The agreed-upon envelope with the correct return address was not enclosed. The ...second document via FedEx had the wrong SSN! No initialed manual corrections were allowed. Knowing well in advance that one partner was going to be out of town, all this could have been done quickly before the partner left. Called Tallahassee twice and was informed that the required documents could have been submitted by the partners. Why did we go through an attorney? The purpose of hiring an attorney was to avoid this hassle and confusion, not create it. Of course fees were collected whether or not the work was done efficiently and well.
