This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
An admonition means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar gives the lawyer an admonition in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

This guy should be totally avoided. He took our case, billed exorbitantly, missed deadlines, didn't do what he said he would do, took no depos, and botched the case big time. Turns out this guy has been previously disciplined by the Florida Supreme Court and the Florida Bar, not to mention the many client complaints about him. If we had only known these beforehand, we would never have hired him.

I hired Richard to handle some transactional legal work. Aside from missing numerous court-ordered deadlines, Richard's work was very half assed and not what I was promised. At the original consult, I was told what I would be receiving in exchange for the retainer I was paying. I was later told by Richard that my retainer had run out before expected for "unknown reasons" and if I wanted him to complete the work, I had to pay another retainer. Since I had deadlines to meet, I paid a second retainer. Even though I paid a second retainer, Richard still missed court deadlines, more than once, and his work product was most definitely not reflective of his high hourly fee. I stopped working with Richard and hired another attorney who was able to get what I needed done within two business weeks. Richard refused to refund any of the money I paid him even though he basically did nothing. I am considering taking action against Richard as well as reporting him to the Florida Bar. Attorneys like Richard are the reason people do not like attorneys. I suggest finding an attorney other than Richard.

I was a client and this attorney provided horrible services. Very unprofessional and lacks communication. I would highly suggest finding an attorney elsewhere!
