I received a consultation from Matthew to discuss an exorbitant fee the property management company of my duplex charged me for sending over a plumber to fix the hot water, which suddenly stopped working 8 months into the lease. Prior to signing my lease, the company sent me a list of utilities that ...I was responsible for setting up accounts with; however, they failed to include that the hot water was gas and that I would need to set up an account. I even had to send them a confirmation before moving in of all the active utility accounts I set up.
