In addition to achieving an AV Martindale Hubbell rating, the highest possible rating for legal ability/professional ethics, for the last 16 years, I am particularly proud of being a shareholder at Garbett, Stiphany, Allen & Roza, P.A. During my 32 years as a Florida lawyer, I have been privileged to represent, and work with, numerous internationally recognized companies and acclaimed individuals. My litigation practice covers a wide variety of commercial matters such as: intellectual property (trademark counterfeiting/ trademark, patent and copyright infringement); fraud; breach of contract; interference with contract/advantageous business relations; unfair competition; title policy claims/commercial foreclosures; and employment law (defending employers against discrimination/harassment claims).
I enjoy going to court. My work as a trial lawyer has been recognized by: (i) Verdict Search/ Top Florida Verdicts (for obtaining verdicts in excess of $1 Million in 2005, 2011 and 2012); (ii) South Florida Legal Guide's Top Lawyers (2001); (iii) South Florida's Top Rated Lawyers (2012); and (iv) The American Lawyer's Top Rated Lawyers - Miami (2013 - 2014).
But protracted litigation is often not the most cost effective way to resolve a controversy. Using my experience as a litigator and Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, I also enjoy negotiating favorable settlements before, as well as after, a case is filed.
