Ron was absolutely great. He worked diligently to represent me. It took a few hearings more than we preferred due to the state asking for other information. Ultimately, he was successful in his representation and the judge granted our request. He was overly responsive. Always followed through how ...he said. Was open and honest about the "risk" and how it would ultimately be the judges call. He was prepared for any potential dispute the state or judge may have brought up. I am one of the first people in Florida to be on the registry. There was no registry when I pled in court. My court appointed “...lawyer” said it was my best interest to plead guilty and informed me that after my probation I could get it expunged. You can’t Learned that he avoided court. Just settled. (LAWYER #1 SCREWED ME!) Megan’s Law started just 3 months from end of my probation. Florida gave no notice and it wasn’t till a cop came to my door and asked why I wasn’t registered. —1 year later— Finally had enough money and I got a lawyer to withdraw my plea. Judge said I waited too long and denied me. Lawyer didn’t say a word. (LAWYER #2 SCREWED ME) —years go by— Face and address now on the internet —years go by— Background checks are getting cheaper for companies. —years go by— I have been registering for over 20 years. Been overseas many times then, a country I have already visited, wouldn’t let me in. 30 min later I’m flying back to the U.S. leaving my wife there. Passports are now flagged. - I hired a lawyer and put in a petition to the governor to get a pardon. He said it would take a few years for response. —couple years go by— I’m looking at the laws and I see that you can petition for removal from the registry. Why didn’t my lawyer say something? I asked my lawyer about it and he said after 25 years I can petition. —2 long years later on my 25th— I hired him again to petition for removal. He sent it in and I waited. Every time I asked, “Why so long to get a court date.” Kept saying he can’t get a meeting with prosecutor, courts are backed up ect. -10 MONTHS LATER- Finally he talked with the prosecutor and the prosecutor said that I’m “ineligible based on the wording of the statute at the time.” He said he will look into it. I also start looking online about it and see that in Miami area people are getting off the registration quickly. I asked my lawyer and he told me this county is tough and still trying to get another meeting. (LAWYER #3 SCREWED ME) ********************** NOW ABOUT RON KLEINER I saw this Lawyer’s advice online and seemed like he knew details about the law (better than my lawyer). His name was Ron Kleiner. I sent him an email ON A SATURDAY about my situation. WITHIN 10 minutes he responded. “WHAT?! CALL ME ASAP!” I didn’t call and started to research on him because no lawyer ever responds that quickly especially on a Saturday and that would give out a personal number. I researched. Nothing bad came up and shows he has experience. After a week or two I called and left a message on his voicemail. He called back WITHIN 3 minutes. He asked questions and he gave me a lot of great information and what my lawyer doesn’t know. He sounded passionate. I would send emails daily with questions and he quickly responded. Ron was Amazing! He was confident immediately from the first interaction that he could take on the case. Ron was very upfront and told us how he would handle the case. My case was unique because I was convicted by the military court system, and it occurred outside of Florida.
