Frank Carrillo

Attorney Frank Carrillo graduated from the University of Miami Law School in Coral Gables, Florida, in 1988. During his years of study, he participated in numerous prestigious organizations, such as the Honorary Society, Bar and Gravel, the Student Bar Association , where he acted as Senator representing his class, and the Hispanic American Law Student Association, as Director; being recognized in “Who’s Who among American Law Students”.
Dr. Carrillo was born in Camaguey, Cuba. He attended High School in Puerto Rico, and then in 1971, he received the Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in Finance and Politics, with sub-specialization in Accounting. After finishing his studies, Dr. Carrillo enrolled in the Armed Forces of the Florida National Guard, being the first Cuban American Guard Officer in 1973. At that time, the guard had the responsibility of caring not only for the State of Florida, but also the Caribbean, and Dr. Carrillo wanted to be ready for any situation that involved his native Cuba.
During his extensive professional career, Dr. Frank Carrillo has worked as an insurance agent, dealing with personal and commercial lines; and as a real estate agent for prominent companies such as Keyes Company and Riviera Realty, serving residential and commercial markets. Since 1989, and during his years as a partner at Carrillo & Carrillo, P.A., he has been in charge of Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Personal Injury, Real Estate, and Insurance claims. Dr. Carrillo has also worked on issues of collections, residential foreclosure litigation, and several other types of real estate litigation, including eviction cases. He has personally handled hundreds of Bankruptcy cases Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. As a Real Estate attorney, Dr. Carrillo also wrote title insurance policies for Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund.
