I got my patent after we had been rejected on obviousness grounds with a stack of patents that was about as thick as a phone book (not an exaggeration), and with Van Dam's legal skills we were able to overcome the dreaded obviousness rejection. Granted your patent needs to also be able meet the legal... requirements to overcome obviousness, but if it can then I am sure Van Dam can at least give you the best chance by making a good legal argument. Van Dam will get to know and become an expert in your patent and will make the best legal argument for you. With Van Dam you can both work as a team, as the inventor you can help with your expert knowledge of your patent by providing the technical information and any other material needed so that he can turn that into legal argument, and my only advice is that its important for you to stay focused on exactly with what is needed to get your patent.
