Sonia Munoz Gallagher

I am Sonia Muñoz Gallagher, a Florida estate planning, probate, business succession, and asset protection attorney and the founder of Family Wealth Law.

For more than 20 years, I have worked in the legal profession in roles that have given me a broad perspective on how legal decisions can affect families, businesses, and generational wealth. My background includes work involving probate and judicial chambers, commercial litigation, business entities and contracts, and estate and succession planning.

Today, my practice focuses on helping Florida families and business owners protect what they have built, plan for incapacity, avoid unnecessary court involvement, and create a clear plan for the people they love.

I regularly assist clients with revocable living trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, probate administration, special needs planning, business succession planning, LLC and corporate planning, asset protection strategies, and the integration of business and real estate interests into a comprehensive estate plan.

A significant part of my work involves helping clients think beyond simply signing legal documents. A good estate plan should answer practical questions: Who can make decisions if you become incapacitated? Who will have authority over your business? What happens to your home and other property? Will your family need to go through probate? How will minor children or beneficiaries with special needs be protected? And will the people you leave behind actually know what to do?

I particularly enjoy working with families, business owners, real estate investors, physicians and other professionals, Spanish-speaking families, and individuals who want to preserve assets and create a meaningful legacy for the next generation.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish and work with clients throughout Florida, including through virtual meetings when appropriate.

My approach is educational and practical. I want clients to understand not only what their documents say, but why the planning matters and how the different pieces of their estate, family, real estate, and business interests work together.

Estate planning is ultimately about much more than what happens after death. It is about protecting your family, preserving control, preparing for the unexpected, and making life easier for the people you care about when they may need that guidance the most.
