Alice Reiter Feld has earned a reputation as one of Florida’s most devoted advocates for seniors and their families.
Ms. Reiter Feld has been in private practice for over 30 years. During that time, she’s proven to be a determined fighter for the rights of senior citizens and family members when it comes to elder care options, and on the importance of engaging an elder law attorney to plan and execute a personalized strategy. Her primary areas of practice under the “Elder Law Umbrella” include long-term care needs planning, asset protection planning, estate planning, probate, Veteran’s Benefits, and Medicaid planning and assistance.
Part of her commitment to her client families has gone beyond the realm of legal issues. She believes based on the countless numbers of people she has met and helped over a 30 year career, that each client has a legacy beyond money to leave to their children and grandchildren. She works with them to uncover what those values are and helps each client family find the most effective way to communicate those values, hopes and dreams to their heirs.
Alice Reiter Feld is licensed to practice law in both Florida and New York, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for Veteran’s Claims. She’s a Board Certified Elder Law Specialist by The Florida Bar and The National Elder Law Foundation. And she’s “AV” rated (the highest rating) by Martindale Hubbell.
To Alice Reiter Feld, serving the senior community and their families is a true labor of love. She offers FREE Seminars and Teleconferences to educate the community on everything from their personal rights to new state laws affecting the elderly. She writes newsletters and bulletins packed with valuable information for her clients and their families, as well as peers, elder care professionals, and the senior community-at-large. In addition, with offices in West Broward, Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, and Delray Beach, she’s uniquely-positioned to serve both Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Consistent with her dedication to public service, Alice has made the time to create a distinguished record of service to her community. She served six years as the Mayor and Commissioner for the City of Lauderhill. The Chapel of Four Chaplains has honored her with the prestigious Legion of Honor Award. And she’s been honored, as well, by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. These are but a limited number of the awards and recognition she has received for her willingness to give back to her community throughout her career.
She’s past-Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association; past-President of the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys; past-President of the Broward County Women Lawyers Association; former board member for the Aging Alliance in Broward County; former board member of the Elder Services Recourse Network; and a former member of the Parkinson’s Disease Board of Directors.
Ms. Reiter Feld was recently honored as a “Florida Super Lawyer” by “Law and Politics” magazine. She’s a member of the Florida Bar’s Speaker Bureau (and often lectures groups of other elder law attorneys). She’s spoken on Estate Planning and Elder Law issues to, amongst many others, the Nova Southeastern University School of Law, SunTrust’s Deans Business Roundtable, and elder care professionals at Hospice-by-the-Sea. She has published numerous articles on Estate Planning, Veteran’s Benefits, Medicaid Planning, Special Needs Trusts and other topics of critical importance to the elderly and their families.
She’s a member of the Elder Law section of the Florida Bar; and a former board member for the Alzheimer’s Family Center in Broward County. And she’s a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (where she’s served on the Steering Committee of the Trust Special Interest Group); the Veterans Advocates Group of America (VAGA); and the Academy of Special Needs Planners (ASNP).
After earning her bachelors degree in political science from Brooklyn College – and graduating with honors – Ms. Reiter Feld went on to earn a juris doctorate from the venerable St. John’s University School of Law in 1980.
Alice Reiter Feld is married to Rabbi Mitch Feld. Their family includes son Daniel, who has a Master’s Degree in International Affairs, and is pursuing his juris doctorate from Suffolk University School of Law in Boston; Ms. Feld’s father, aged 91; three cats – Joey – “Mr. Destructo”, Shayna – “I am curious Orange” and Max – “I am afraid of anything” and finally, Emily, her 12-year old bichon-frise who also serves the community – as the official office manager, greeter and mascot.

"I endorse this lawyer. Alice has helped many people in this community in tough times of desparate need and gotten them through crisis and can do the same for you. I would certainly call him for my own family's issues should they ever arise."

"I am pleased to recommend Alice Reiter Feld as one of the premier elder law attorneys in Florida. I have had the privilege and pleasure of co-counseling cases with Ms. Feld, as well as consulting with her, on numerous elder law issues. In addition, I have been honored to be referred cases by her that have required extensive litigation. Alice is always current on elder law issues and maintains a familiarity with all aspects of elder law. Whether the issues involve Medicare and Medicaid, government benefits, creation of Trusts, Wills and related Estate Planning documents, Ms. Feld is my "GO TO" elder law source. Her office and support staff are a pleasure to work with and are responsive in a timely manner."
"Alice is an excellent lawyer to whom I send any elder law case referral. Over the years, she has handled referrals from me with the utmost of respect. All referrals have given me positive feedback from their experience with Alice. I recommend her highly and will continue to send her clients with confidence that the referred client will be happy!!!"
"I proudly endorse this lawyer. Alice Reiter Feld is a passionate advocate for seniors and the senior care community. She works tirelessly to educate the senior community-at-large about public benefits, asset protection and Alzheimer's/dementia care. She provides valuable information, seminars, in-service training and other resources, at no charge. She's an excellent mentor and attorney; who continues to serve the legal community on various boards and her activities within both the Broward and Florida Bars. Alice has also been successful in her pursuit of further achievements, having served as Mayor and City Commissioner of Lauderhill FL. She's truly an inspiration to all women attorneys."
"Alice Reiter Feld is a wonderful, caring attorney. I have known her through our relationship with national legal organizations. She is a nationally recognized expert in the areas of VA and Medicaid eligibility. Beyond that she is a great advocate for the rights of our seniors. I give her my highest recommendation. William G.
