Dario Castaneda

Mr. Castañeda’s active legal practice includes all areas of immigration law and procedure, including immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, political asylum, deportation/removal defense, waivers of inadmissibility, employment authorization and employer compliance/sanctions, appeals, and litigation.

Mr. Castañeda is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) where he serves on various committees.  He has presented on legal issues impacting immigrants before multiple organizations, including AILA, the Chicago Bar Association and at various universities and educational institutions.  While in law school, he was active in the Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) Legal Fraternity - coordinating professional development events as well as fundraising for Loyola's Law School Public Interest Law Society.  He was also an arbitrator with the International Commercial Arbitration and CISG Team.  

Since he emigrated from Mexico to the United States in 2006, Mr. Castañeda has developed a passion for immigration law. As an immigrant himself, he understands the difficulties that families, individuals, and companies experience when dealing with the complex U.S. immigration system.  Mr. Castañeda has held various positions in both private and governmental sectors, always furthering his objective of becoming an immigration attorney.  He has extensive experience in removal defense and concentrates his practice on both employment and family-based immigration.  

Mr. Castañeda is fluent in Spanish and proficient in German.
