Brian Michael Casey

Brian Casey is a seasoned Attorney with an extensive track record of representing thousands of clients and litigating hundreds of complex evidentiary matters, including dozens of jury trials. With a career spanning public service and private practice, he brings a wealth of experience in criminal law at both state and federal levels.

Throughout Brian’s legal career he served many roles, specifically as an Assistant Public Defender in Monroe County, FL and held roles as a prosecutor in Georgia and Florida. During this time, he managed thousands of cases, ranging from DUI, illegal harvesting and possession of lobster, crabs, etc., misdemeanor and felony drug offenses, theft, robbery, fraud, racketeering, burglary, and murder. He litigated over 20 jury trials, demonstrating his skill in the courtroom. Committed to advancing his expertise, Brian earned certification in law enforcement training for DUI Detection and Field Sobriety Exercises—a distinction held by few attorneys. He also completed the U.S. Secret Service and FBI program in Computer Forensics and Mobile/Cellular Device Forensics, enhancing his ability to prosecute cases involving Title III wiretaps, child pornography, drug trafficking, and gang-related narcotics distribution. Additionally, Brian is trained in handling Capital (Death Penalty) cases, further underscoring his comprehensive legal proficiency.

Transitioning his passion and skills to private practice, Brian has focused on criminal defense and civil law in the Florida Keys, tackling high-stakes federal and state cases. His practice spans over several Florida counties and judicial circuits, where he has consistently delivered results for clients in complex cases. A Florida native, Brian was born and raised in Florida. He graduated with a B.S. in Applied Economics from Florida State University, where he distinguished himself academically and served as President of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Beyond his legal career, Brian enjoys golfing and fishing, and he is an active volunteer with local organizations, including the Coastal Conservation Association, Captains for Clean Water, and Lower Keys Guides Association.
