Ms. Sarju was born in St. Ann and raised in St Ann and Kingston, Jamaica. Before starting her own practice, Ms. Sarju focused her practice on insurance defense for a Miami law firm.
Ms. Sarju earned her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University and her BA in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL.
During law school, Ms. Sarju was a Judicial Intern for Judge Charles Pope of the 14A and 14B District Courts in Ypsilanti, Michigan as well as a Legal Intern for the State Appellate Defenders Office (SADO) in Detroit, MI. While in law school, Ms. Sarju was a Board Member of the Journal of Practical and Clinical Law and participated in the Thomas M. Cooley Immigrant Rights and Civil Advocacy Clinic.
During her final semester of law school, Ms. Sarju completed her externship with a solo practitioner where she focused her efforts on family law and immigration.
Right after law school, Ms. Sarju worked as an intern in a law firm focusing on family law and immigration matters.
