Yasir Billoo is an experienced attorney in the areas of business/commercial law, employment & labor, and civil appeals.
Originally from Pakistan, Yasir earned his law degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale , Florida and was admitted to both the Florida Bar and the California Bar. He is admitted to practice in all courts in each of these states.
Yasir earned dual Bachelors Degrees in International Relations and Communications from Florida International University . While earning his Juris Doctor, he was a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court team and on the Board of the Journal of International and Comparative Law.
Prior to practicing law, Yasir managed the finances of a group of Central American companies, handling complex international financial transactions.
Yasir has served as the Vice Chair of the Young Lawyer’s Division — Torts, Trial and Insurance Section of the American Bar Association and President of the Florida Muslim Bar Association. Yasir also currently serves as a Board Member of a local non-profit called Lawyers to the Rescue, which provides limited legal services for free to the homeless.
Yasir is also serving his third 2-year term as an Administrative Judge for Miami-Dade County’s Commission on Human Rights, through which Yasir presides over appeals on various claims of discrimination in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
