Stuart Reed worked as my immigration lawyer about ten years ago when I hired him to get an immigrant visa for my husband. We were completely honest upfront about the obstacles we faced, which included immigration infractions. Stuart insisted there were waivers for our case. What he failed to under...stand was that the waivers would not be available until a 10-year wait outside the country had been completed. I wish I had been more versed in immigration law BEFORE hiring him, so that I would have realized that he was not competent to handle our case. Regarding his efficiency and professionalism, I also found him lacking. Very often I was the one calling the government agencies to find out about the status of our case. Often when I called him on the phone it was clear that he was multitasking and not actually paying attention to what I was saying. In the end after we had been given the refusal in the embassy due to the immigration violations, he did not have the decency to admit that he was unfamiliar with that particular section of immigration law. I feel as though he misrepresented his abilities, took our money, made me do most of the work and then said he regretted the decision given to us by the embassy. If I could I would have given him zero stars in this review. Do your research and investigate your potential lawyers. Stuart should not be considered for anything related to immigration,
