I attended Iowa State University on a full-ride U.S. Army ROTC scholarship, graduating from Iowa State University in May of 1996 and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served as a Cavalry Officer with B Troop, 1/113th Armored Cavalry in the Iowa National Guard. My last duty assignment was as the assistant plans officer of the 294th Training Support Battalion in the U.S. Army Reserve at Camp Blanding, Florida.
I attended the University of Miami School of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar on October 11, 2000 and the Iowa Bar on September 23, 2002. I live in Vero Beach with my wife, Ginger, our 5 children; Morgan (12), Mallory (11), Max (10), Jillian (4) and Warren (2), and a cat named Nibbler. As you may guess, our house is the center of activity for our private lives and nearly everything revolves around our children.
Over many years of practicing law the traditional way, I suspected things could be better. As I aged, and my family grew, my experiences showed me that there had to be a better way for my clients as well. With that in mind, I started Duer Law, a firm that has a more comprehensive and holistic approach both to our clients and their needs, and to the needs of our attorneys and staff.
We are people, just like you. We have dreams, goals, families, and our fair share of problems. We understand the legal process not only from the attorney perspective, but from that of our clients as well. We are here, rolling up our sleeves, working hard to help ordinary people and businesses every day.
We focus on the big picture. We provide comprehensive solutions to our clients and offer unparalleled access so that you get the help you need, when you need it. We focus on a proactive approach to legal issues, as preventing a problem is always less costly, both financially and mentally, than fixing one.
We believe that a better community is key to providing our children with the lives and options they deserve. We provide pro bono assistance to the Veteran’s Council, to victims of domestic violence through SafeSpace, and donate our time to the Humane Society, TLC Newborn, and various other worthwhile organizations.
If you aren’t sure where to turn for help, just pick up the phone and call us. We interact with reputable attorneys and professionals on a daily basis and are happy to refer you to someone who will meet your needs, with no strings attached.
