David A. Gunter

David is a very experienced business litigator. His experience includes almost every type of litigation that a small or medium-sized business is likely to encounter. This includes breaches of contracts, tortious interference, fraud, embezzlement, conversion, theft of trade secrets and personal property, disputes among partners and shareholders, employment disputes, and non-compete enforcement.

David represents many small and medium-sized businesses that rely on his counsel and advice regarding corporate governance, contract review and drafting, employment law counseling, governmental and regulatory matters, and general business matters. As a highly experienced business litigator, David understands very well the cost and risks of litigation. He works with clients to avoid litigation when it is unnecessary or avoidable.

Became a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator in 2014.

David represents owners, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. He reviews and negotiates construction contracts, and he litigates payment, construction lien and construction defect cases. He has handled disputes on projects ranging in size from a single family residence up to large condominiums and commercial buildings.
