Michael has a global education and a unique background in international business and law. He earned an undergraduate degree in finance with high honors from the University of Florida, an MBA in international business from Clemson University and CIMBA Italy, and a juris doctor with honors from the Florida State University College of Law. Michael has studied at universities in the U.S., Mexico, Italy, and Japan. He is admitted to practice law in Florida, the District of Columbia, New York and Washington.
Michael commenced his legal career in 2001 as an associate in the Orlando, Florida office of Holland & Knight LLP, where he advised banks and financial institutions on commercial sales and leases, secured transactions, real property law, bankruptcy and insolvency issues. In 2007, he relocated to Japan to join the Tokyo office of Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, one of the “Big Four” Japanese law firms. In Japan, Michael worked on a wide variety of international commercial transactions, including international finance, commercial leases, licensing agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.
Michael returned to Orlando in 2011 to join the law department of Siemens, a multinational conglomerate based in Germany. From term sheet to closing, Michael negotiated transactions for large energy projects throughout the U.S. and Latin America with public and private customers.
In 2014, Michael relocated to Cocoa, Florida, where he focuses on business law, commercial real estate, international law, and business litigation.

Cross-border Transaction
