Without question the best professional experience I’ve ever had with any type of firm. Mr Jacoby was as thorough as one could be and exceptionally knowledgeable in his field. He took a surprising amount of time both listening to our circumstances and explaining how best to proceed. Most importantl...y, it’s very clear his excellence stems from a true care of people. In addition, his staff is no less attentive and caring. I worked with Lisa Waltrip, who was wonderful. We navigated through a tedious Medicaid process with relative ease, with Lisa carefully explaining each step and simplifying everything. On top of it all, one day Lisa sent an email-she’d stopped and met my mother. In a world where personal attention and care seems to be greatly diminishing, this floored me. A caring human being and a splendid professional.

I retained David in order to marshal my aunt's and my mother's estates, and qualify them for Medicaid so I could placed them in a nursing home. I am a retired attorney but was not aware of the legal requirements and unusual legal avenues to accomplish the above. During my first meeting with David h...e explained to me the Florida Medicaid regulations in their minute details and his explanations and professionalism infused in me a total trust for him. He went as far as going with me to the nursing home where my aunt was recovering from an injury in order to explain to her what he was trying to accomplish and then his capable staff went to see my aunt in order to execute the proper documentation. This brought out David's caring for the less fortunate and his unbelievable human decency. In the end all that we set out to accomplish was successfully brought to be and I have no words to thank David, Kathy, and other members of his staff that so diligently and patiently took me through this and the follow up work that ensued. Now I not only have an attorney but I also made some new friends. I would have no hesitation to recommend David and his capable staff to anyone needing help in his areas of expertise. Don

Skilled and compassionate

We consulted with David H. Jacoby regarding our 93 year old father's trusts and Medicaid application. He brings several pertinent disciplines to the equation in addition to his specialty in elder law providing the well-rounded counsel we need to care for Dad effectively. We also found Mr. Jacoby to p...ossess an unusual compassion and understanding for Dad's situation and he made himself available to help us on short notice. I highly recommend Mr. Jacoby for elder law; he is my first choice and I would not hesitate to contact him again should the need arise.

Settlement of an Estate

MY sister used David for estate and medicare matters as well as a revocable trust. She has since passed away and I became the successor trustee. I found everything to be in order and easy to follow. Karen Clark was especially helpful in providing the steps necessary to file and record the pape...rwork with the state of Florida. She made herself available to answer questions in a prompt manner. I would highly recommend David H Jacoby to anyone one who needs guidance in elder care.

The absolute best!

If you need help with elder care, don't waste your time anywhere else. We suddenly found ourselves in a very desperate situation with our mom. The facility where she was sent to for rehab after a fall was horrible. She couldn't walk, and was not improving. Her physical therapy was completely inad...equate. They facility exhausted all of her Medicare days, and threatened to send her back to her independent living apartment without a care plan in place, and no regard for her well being. They wanted us to pay $6000.00 a month to place her in long term care, and insisted that her VA benefits would not cover her continued rehab. They were wrong, and refused to call the VA to find out. We realized that we needed help. We contacted one attorney who wanted $600.00 dollars to write an income only trust document. We had no idea what to do. We live in PA, and our 3 day visit had turned into 3 weeks of despair. This was one day before hurricane Irma hit! We found Mr. Jacoby and a few other attorneys on the internet and started making phone calls. He was the only one to call us back, and he met with us right away. It was the best thing we ever did. He completely understood what was going on, and exactly how to resolve our situation. We needed several document prepared to achieve the best outcome for our mom. His fee wasn't even close to what the other attorney wanted to charge us. It was more than fair, to the point where we thought that we might be getting scammed. But what else could we do? Mr. Jacoby and his staff are amazing, caring and compassionate people. They have kept their word at every step. If not for them, our mom probably would have died. But, in just a few days, our mom was in a facility where she received the best physical therapy and is now at a point where she can move to assisted living, She is now on Medicaid. There is no way that we could have achieved that on our own. The paperwork and documentation needed for Medicaid approval is unbelievable. We are eternally grateful to Mr. Jacoby and his staff. They have followed up on our mom's progress and continue to communicate with us. I would urge anyone who needs help or advise with elderly care to contact Mr. Jacoby.
