When Nobody Would Take My Case Hogan-Smith & Mina Dulu Did.

I am a disabled veteran and was medically retired from the US Army after being injured in Iraq in 2009, as a result, I also lost my civilian job as well. Even with three different government agencies telling me I was unable to work, SS refused to acknowledge their decisions. I tried a number of law f...irms and nobody would take my case. Hogan-Smith was the only firm that was even interested in pursuing the case. This case had to be a nightmare for my representative Mina Dulu. I have thousands of medical documents, doctors, therapists, behavior health, lab tests, chiropractors, and ongoing visits every week for over a decade. Mina was very professional, always responded to my messages, sent replies even on weekends. Mina was thoughtful, encouraging, diligent, and refused to quit even knowing that any settlement was going to be minimal. Mina continued to work for me even when it was discovered that the two competing Social Security Agencies sent multiple erroneous decision letters , Mina didn't quit. the irony of this is that Mina worked on this case for over a year and now after 11 years of not working I will no longer be able to collect the SSDI when I turn 62 this month. would I recommend this Law Firm? ABSOLUTELY, without question YES.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
