Horrible

I was in a car accident May 2018. From May to December nothing was done and I made a verbal complaint to the Dan Newlin firm in regards to the lack of progress. Met with Greg Ackerman in January and he claimed that he would be pursuing with the litigation. I was fine with that. I never called him bec...ause I know the process is lengthy. It is now June 2019 and I suddenly have a new attorney under Dan Newlin and I found out my lawsuit was never filed. He has horrible communication skills and is far from efficient. New attorney has communicated with me more in this short amount of time than Greg ever did.

Lesson learned: seek second opinions before hiring.

A car hit me head on after a crossing a barrier, the case should have been pretty open and shut. After the first month or two of good communication and etc, it quickly deteriorated. I wouldn’t hear back for a month or two, at one point after being told He would contact me the following week...I didn...’t hear anything for 4 weeks and finally had to call his office and be transferred over to him and he almost came off as annoyed that I reached out on a Saturday. I was basically told since the person who caused the accident was and I quote “living paycheck to paycheck” I shouldn’t pursue suing them directly and basically nothing would be done to this person. I finally just agreed to agree on a settlement because asking him to do anything just meant weeks of silence and then some half answer. The last insult to injury was looking over my contract and realizing that payment for my doctor appointments and chiropractor visits I paid for from my already small settlement, so bottom line is the person who caused the accident by tearing through a barrier wall and hitting me didn’t pay for anything. I paid for a new car, medication, missed work, and doctor visits out of pocket in the end from my settlement. Would never use this firm again.

Highly Recommended

In January 2016 I was rear ended by someone with a suspended license. I knew within days that I had been seriously injured. after a few conversations with my auto insurance I knew it was going to be quite a process. I simply didn't have time to handle this process myself while trying to recover an...d work. I was referred by a client to Dan Newlin. Greg Ackerman was assigned to me and handled everything. He was very honest about what I could expect. I was able to focus on my recovery and my job. He communicated regularly and answered all of my questions. In the end he made sure I was compensated fairly and would be able to have the surgery I needed without any costs out of pocket. I would highly recommend Greg to anyone.
