Biography
Abigail founded The Johnston Law Firm in 2010 after spending 10 years in Virginia and Florida advocating for individuals in the areas of civil litigation, Family Law, and Dependency. In Abigail, children and adults alike find a strong, creative, and passionate advocate. Whether a case involves complex financial issues, business interests, real property, etc., the details of each client’s concerns and situation become Abigail’s priority and focus for the duration of the case and beyond.
Abigail is also committed to child advocacy and protecting the best interests of minor children. Her experience and expertise from the beginning puts clients at ease. Recognizing that conflict, even in families, provides an opportunity to solve problems and seek solutions for each member of a family in crisis, Abigail welcomes the opportunity to come alongside her clients and assist them through the legal process. Whether this results in litigation or a positive settlement outcome, each of Abigail’s clients recognizes that they are not alone in the process.
Since her move back to the Central Florida area in 2002, Abigail has worked closely with the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) and participating in Teen Court. The Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association has repeatedly recognized Abigail for providing over 100 hours of pro bono legal services to Floridians each year.
