Steven Michael Johnson

Steven M. Johnson is a Senior Trial Attorney at The Morgan Law Group where he concentrates on representing people, corporations, and non-profits against their own insurance companies. Steve also has extensive experience in automobile cases, products liability cases and other personal injuries.

Steve has been practicing insurance law for over thirty three years. Previously, he was a partner in a small boutique first party law firm in Orlando. Upon his partner’s retirement, Steve came to The Morgan Law Group to continue his career as a Senior Litigation Attorney.

Steve was raised in Illinois where he attended Southern Illinois University and received a bachelor’s degree cum laude in Political Science. Putting himself through school, he joined the Illinois National Guard at 17 and was the Original Bagel Man at night on the strip. That bagel business exists in several forms to this day. He attended Memphis State University on scholarship where he graduated third in his class, became an editor of the Law Review, and participated in Moot Court.

Upon graduation, he accepted a position in Orlando defending manufacturers and distributors in products liability cases. To better understand the aircraft accident cases he was handling, Steve received his private pilot’s license in 1992.

Since 1993, Steve has only represented corporations and individuals against insurance companies or at fault parties. Steve began practicing first party insurance representing policyholders after Hurricane Andrew and seeing the devastation the storm brought; and then the devastation of insurance denials or underpayments on the policyholders. Since that time, Steve has continued his career representing policyholders exclusively.

In his free time, Steve enjoys snow skiing, traveling and boating.
