Scot Andrew Silzer

When I found myself in a frustrating situation with the immigration process, two people recommended Scot Silzer to me. I am so thankful to Scot and his staff for helping me navigate through the entire process. Our situation was complicated because we were given wrong information before entering the U....S. which put us in a bad place with immigration. I initially tried self-education and going through ".gov" following all the directions carefully. However, after 18 months of frustration, I contacted Silzer Law. Things began to move along with good results. And we didn't have to go to the office with every consultation. There was good phone and e-mail communication and advice each step of the process. As we anticipate traveling outside the U.S. it is wonderful that the whole family is in the same line when we return home. Truly an immigration specialist! Fair, informative, competent!

To put it simply, it is down to Scot Silzer that we are still in the United States – that I am on the point of gaining my American citizenship and that my same-sex partner seems to be on the fast track to a green card. This move has put us in a favourable position for the early recognition of my partner’s immigration status. One of the things my partner and I most admire about Scot is his absolute honesty. At no stage did he allow us to get carried away with unrealistically optimistic predictions. Rather, with every decision to be made he kept us fully informed of the consequences, good and bad. There certainly have been difficult patches where we have been close to packing up and heading back to our country of origin. But each time, this reasoned approach coupled with Scot’s unfailingly calm, friendly demeanor has reassured us to the point where we decided it was worth continuing. Scot’s advice has not been confined purely to immigration matters. There are have been several instances where we have approached him and his team for guidance sorting out issues of career and finances. In each instance this professional advice was delivered without charge. Our journey through the immigration labyrinth is not yet quite complete – the reason why this review is anonymous. However, I can say with absolute assurance that for anything to do with immigration, one would be hard pressed to find a more skilled guide and advocate – and a more decent human being – than Scot Silzer.
