A Public Warning Regarding My Experience with Chris Merrill and Olsen Law Group, aka: Christine Ann Seachrist-Merrill. I am writing this to share a deeply disappointing experience, specifically for the benefit of other senior citizens and their families. My recent dealings with Chris Merrill have ...been characterized by what I consider to be lackluster performance and a troubling lack of professional transparency. Despite being a very persuasive talker, the actual results have been nonexistent. Here are the facts of my experience: • Financial Lack of Transparency: There has been a total failure to produce itemized invoices for over $12,000 in charges billed to an 88-year-old woman. • Technical Errors: A Power of Attorney document prepared by this firm was flatly rejected by Bank of America because it did not meet State Statutes. • Deflection of Responsibility: When confronted with this error, the firm denied responsibility and attempted to shift the blame elsewhere—an assertion that is contradicted by our own records. • Incomplete Work: Professional services that were paid for remain unfulfilled. My disappointment in the work effort and the perceived lack of integrity is total. Because of these ethical and professional concerns, we are currently reviewing the necessary steps to file formal complaints with The Florida Bar. I urge anyone considering this firm to look beyond the sales pitch. Based on my experience, the "talk" does not match the "walk," and the results have been a profound disappointment. Please do your due diligence before trusting them with your family’s legal affairs.
