A GREAT LAW FIRM

I have been dealing with Ashley for 6 years. She handled our legal Guardianship within 6 months. She is very thorough, if I have a question she answers promptly. She is friendly , Knowledgeable, and very affordable. She handles my Guardianship reports every year to date. I will recommend Ashley and... her firm to anyone who wants to succeed . I must mention Nicole her paralegal who sees to your every need. She's kind, polite and very professional.

Ashley truly cares, and in the adoption world, that makes a huge difference!

We entered the adoption process thinking that because we were happily married, stable, and open to any child from any heritage and with any drug exposure that adoption would be a breeze. In our case, not so. We ended up going through 3 failed/disrupted adoptions in 3 years; needless to say, this was ...emotionally difficult. Through it all, Ashley was pretty much amazing at helping us get through everything and find another match. Not only did she take on our case with great passion, but we ended up being matched with the perfect little girl for us. (Please note: None of these failures were in any way Ashley's fault; they were just difficult circumstances that simply didn't work out.) Because we worked through an adoption consultant, we did have potential matches with other adoption attorneys, but we passed on each. The reason? We were pretty much appalled at the feeling that those attorneys were treating the potential match like a used car sale. There was not one ounce of care as to whether this was going to be the right match for us and the birth mom; it was all about trying to get us to sign the contract for the child so that the attorney had the financial liability of birth mom expenses off them. (Did they say that specifically? No, but believe me, it was obvious in the way they dealt with us.) Not so with Ashley. She specializes in dealing with some of the most difficult cases and works tirelessly to find the right matches for these babies. She is respectful to the birth moms' needs as well, and the birth mom coordinators they have truly care about the birth moms. After hearing about and being involved in some extraordinarily difficult adoption scenarios, I am convinced that she is literally saving lives every single day. She also deals with you honestly and very directly. She's a realist and works for practical solutions to issues. We felt that, unlike other attorneys, she was in our corner and working for the best interests of BOTH the birth mom and the adoptive parents. And, of course, of importance is that all the legal aspects of the adoption are handled professionally and correctly. Ashley is very on top of every detail. Our adoption finalization went very smoothly. We are planning on adopting again; we will most certainly be going through Ashley. I would recommend her without hesitation.

Expert Attorney & Compassionate Representation

Ashley represented me in the adoption of my daughter. She was a true professional. She is respected by her peers and kind and responsive to my needs. She went above and beyond the call of duty and worked through the weekend to see that my placement was successful. She is an outstanding attorney who ...I would highly recommend. I will hire her again for my next adoption!

Dont Walk...Run to Ashley!

Ashley assisted me with a Termination of Parental Rights case followed by an adoption. Ashley was knowledgeable, supportive and always kept you well-informed. She provided all the options and allowed you to decide what was best for you. She didn't try to string you along in order to run up the bill.... I can't imagine using anyone else. Do yourself a favor and go see Ashley. You won't be disappointed!

A Great Attorney

It is my privilege and honor to recommend Ashley Filimon to you as an attorney. If you are looking for a disconnected and emotionally detached attorney; continue looking. However, if you are looking for someone who is passionate, informed, and dedicated then you have found your attorney. My wife and... I had a very difficult time adopting. We had several failed adoptions until May 2014 when we finalized our adoption. Through every heartbreak, Ashley empathized with us (because she experienced difficult adoption scenarios herself), counseled us (not as an attorney but as a caring friend), encouraged us (we wanted to stop and she provided us with a balanced perspective allowing us to make an appropriate decision), and she saw us through (she was with us every step of the way).

"I endorse Ashley C. Filimon without reservation. Ashley has demonstrated a capacity to work well with both clients and other attorneys in our community. Striking that balance is extremely important because divorce and other contested family law matters require adversarial positions that can become quite contentious. Fortunately, Ashley's skills allow her to obtain excellent results for her clients while maintaining good relationships with opposing attorneys.Other family law attorneys would be wise to follow her example."
