Will take your retainer & disappear

After taking the retainer, my arrested family member sat for 41 days in jail without a visit to discuss his case and for 5 of those weeks with absolutely no way to reach to Richard Zaleski on his own from the jail. He and the firm will not accept phone calls. My family member was ignored when he fin...ally got private email after I begged & begged Zaleski to set him up. I’ve documented dozens & dozens of calls, texts & emails to Zaleski and the owners & staff at Smith & Eulo (where he works). I called daily begging him to visit to talk about the case or let my family member know what was going on, despite promise after promise to me that Zaleski was going to see him. The relationship was terminated. The new firm was there to see him in 24 HOURS. Zaleski nor the firm have refunded the $4,500 retainer after doing no work for their client and rescheduling court dates because they weren’t prepared and hadn't met with their client in a month and a half, other than to pick up the retainer. Zaleski gave me back our file of notes, etc, and in that file negligently included personal and case documents for 8 other clients of his. They still won’t call me back and its been two weeks. We are filing a complaint with the state bar and encouraging the other 8 clients to do the same. Save yourself the headache right off the bat and find someone else.

top dog

mr. Zaleski has represented me and several of my friends he's put each and everyone of us on a payment plan and has done nothing but stellar work he's always shown up to every court date and when my vehicle was down made several house calls before I got to know him and did research on my case he was... leaps and bounds cheaper than any other attorney I had looked into and his work ethic is second to none he comes highly recommended he also has a lot of friends in the industry where it has become beneficial on judgement day

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
