Mercedes Ruth Wechsler

Just awful. She and her paralegal are rude and condescending. Like others said, you can rarely get past the paralegal (who has a criminal record by the way, under her legal name that she conveniently doesn't use unless she's notarizing something - Leyia is actually her middle name). Mercedes will dra...g things out needlessly so she can charge you left and right and never actually get anything done. I had to fire her and hire another attorney (who got everything done within months) then fight for the remainder of my retainer. Beware of any attorney who in her retainer agreement says you can't post anything negative about her. Now I know why!

I typically don't write reviews although I felt I should share with others my personal experience if you are looking for a competent, knowledgeable and caring attorney, she is here in Orlando and her name is Mercedes Wechsler. I was recommend to see Mercedes after a failed collaboration experien...ce by my then current collaboration attorney. He pointed me towards her as a tough, fair, compassionate person that will take time to listen. Mercedes met with me within a day and discussed my situation and set real expectations for me right off the bat. I decided to retain her services to represent me against a completely unreasonable spouse and am extremely glad that I did. My divorce process took a little bit longer than four years and I can honestly say at times I wanted to quit, I wanted to give in, I wanted to scream and during that time Mercedes and her staff never wavered, always gave a sympathetic listening ear, and always held a true course. For that I will always be thankful. Mercedes billing and fees were more than fair for what she and her staff bring to the table and I never gave it a second thought. If you want someone that is beyond competent, fair, compassionate, and an ultimate warrior when it comes to you and your family you need not look any further than Mercedes and her excellent staff.
