About me

Mark Ornstein has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1987 and his practice involves representing and advising business clients on a broad range of issues including: business formation, business operations, legal compliance, business structuring and restructuring, acquisitions and sale of businesses, commercial transactional law, and extensive complex litigation.  He has been a shareholder with Killgore, Pearlman, Stamp, Ornstein & Squires, P.A. since 1995 and most of his distinguished legal career has been focused as the leader in the firm’s automotive division.  He is also AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mark’s experience is wide ranging, but as a prior owner of new and used automotive dealerships his passion is representing motor vehicle dealers in franchise matters, new business formation and structuring, operational and training matters, legal compliance, employment law, acquisition and sale transactions, and financing arrangements for automotive manufacturers, independent, new and used vehicle dealers (including motorcycles, ATV’s, watercraft), and the myriad of vendors serving the automotive industry.  His firsthand knowledge of the day-to-day operations of dealerships sets him apart from others in his field.

Mark represents his clients in all phases of negotiations, closings, administrative hearings, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.  He is highly versed in representing them in connection with navigating all phases of licensing requirements of local, county, state and federal governmental agencies.  His litigation experience includes State and Federal courts in Florida and throughout the United States, and he is a Certified Circuit Court Mediator.  He is an active member of the National Automotive Dealers Association (NADA) and the National Association of Dealer Counsel (NADC).  Mr. Ornstein has presented seminars in cooperation with the Florida Attorney General’s Office in a joint effort to better serve and protect the automotive industry.  He co-hosts an educational brunch at the NADA annual meeting.
