Back in 2011, Mr. Garcia represented me in a case where I was accused of cashing a forged check. The person I worked for scammed me by paying me with the bad check. It wasn't until a year later that I found that out when I had to suffer the embarrassment of being arrested and then extradited to Flo...rida. I was scared and had heard a lot of bad stories about public defenders. But I was innocent and wanted my day in court. On the day of trial the prosecutor said he was going to ask for jail if I lost and even the judge said I could go to prison. I've never even been in trouble with the law before this! I don't think I would have gone through with it if my lawyer hadn't seemed so calm (showing me the law he was going to use helped too!). Mr. Garcia was much better prepared than the prosecutor. The judge ended up dismissing the case. Because of this man I got to keep my freedom, my good name and a felony off of my record.

I had a contract dispute case that Mr. Garcia took on contingency. A few weeks or so into the case he got an opportunity with a larger establishment and told me he wanted to drop me to give his time and attention to them. I ask that he not do this as at that point it would be extremely difficult for ...me to start over, to which he threaten that he would take me to court if I did not dismiss the case to release him. I didn't even know that lawyers could do that and speaking to the FL Bar Assoc it seemed like there was nothing I could do. Since it would be silly to hire a lawyer to go to court against my current lawyer, which in doing, would not help me with my original case, I dismissed it. As I had already paid Mr. Garcia funds I was unable to get another lawyer for my original case and as such never resolved that and am out thousands of dollars to this day.
