Daniel Law is the best. The paralegal alot of my questions on the phone and when I met with Jason I was not disappointed.
He spent a ton of time working with me and we just received my patent. Thank you Daniel Law!
If I could give zero stars, I would.
In January of 2018, I hired Jason T Daniel of Daniel Law to file a provisional and 2 non-provisional patents for a fixed fee. The contract included 3 changes to the applications. The provisional application went ok. The non-provisionals, not so much.
I informed Daniel Law in writing that I wanted to make changes to the non-provisional applications before filing. This request was overlooked, and the applications were filed with the USPTO.
I felt these applications as written by Jason Daniel lacked in scientific explanation and legal protection. Daniel Law had written 6 legal claims for one application, and 8 for the other. I felt they missed the point of the invention, and offered little legal protection.
In the ensuing discussions with Jason Daniel about rectifying their mistake, he insisted they now charge by the hour in order to make changes to the claims. I lost all faith and trust in Daniel Law, and sought outside counsel with a larger local patent company. I decided to abandon the applications filed by Daniel Law, and filed new ones with the larger company. I found out later that all the claims written by Daniel Law were rejected by the USPTO.
My new attorneys wrote 20 legal claims for each application, and I felt their claims offered a high level of legal protection for the invention. All 40 claims have now been approved by the USPTO. I could not be happier with my new attorneys, and will recommend them to anyone who is looking to file a patent.
However, I feel my overall experience with Daniel Law was one of the most expensive and frustrating mistakes I have made. I will not be recommending Daniel Law to anyone, now or in the future.
