Our family had a flood in our home that caused significant damage. Homeowner's insurance ruled it an act of God and excluded coverage. After 4 months of having our home owner insurance send out various adjustors/contractors to have a look at our roof, they sent us a letter with a check for $91.00 (less $500 deductible) to repair 4 shingles. Like many other homes in our neighborhood which recently got new roofs, our 10 year old roof... sustained significant hail and wind damage from several storms in the summer of 2015. In an effort 'not to get shafted' by our insurance company, we hired Chris, who immediately provided a roofing contractor to prove the extent of our damage. In a few short weeks, we went into mitigation and came out with $28,000 from our home owner insurance for a brand new roof. The new roof has now been installed, looks beautiful and of course we feel much more secure. This was the first time that we've ever pursued any case with a lawyer, but now certainly not the last.
