Our family had a flood in our home that caused significant damage. Homeowner's insurance ruled it an act of God and excluded coverage. The city's water dept. was to pick up the tab and denied the claim 3 times even after proof of negligence. After 4 months of having our home owner insurance send out various adjustors/contractors to have a look at our roof, they sent us a letter with a check for $91.00 (less $500 deductible) to repair 4 shingles. Like many other homes in our neighborhood which recently got new roofs, our 10 year old roof... sustained significant hail and wind damage from several storms in the summer of 2015.
