Nikki is an associate in Watson Sloane’s Real Estate and Corporate Finance groups. Her practice focuses on real estate transactions, land use entitlements, permitting and code enforcement issues, and due diligence reviews for vacant and developed land. Nikki also represents issuers, financial institutions, underwriters and investors in connection with the public and private offering of municipal and corporate securities.
Prior to law school, Nikki worked for over ten years as a land use planner. During this time, she reviewed legislation and its impact on local government planning and growth management strategies and drafted ordinances and comprehensive plan policies to implement growth management legislation for Orange County’s Planning Division. Nikki served as the project planner for multiple large scale and complex development projects in urban and rural areas of Orange County. She also served as the staff liaison to Orange County Public Schools’ Technical Review Committee for School Concurrency and Orange County Public Schools’ Advanced Planning Committee and has experience with school capacity and school concurrency issues.
Nikki’s prior experience allows her to efficiently and effectively serve clients, particularly in matters related to land use and development and in other matters that require governmental coordination. For Nikki, the most enjoyable part of being an attorney is the opportunity to provide clients with creative options and solutions to achieve the client’s desired outcome. When Nikki is not working, she enjoys attending her son’s basketball games and spending time with her family.
