also known as Searle Law P.A.
Andrew Searle is the founder and principal of Searle Law P.A. Andrew is a highly skilled trial attorney with extensive experience in white collar matters and criminal defense. As a former Manhattan Assistant District Attorney and former federal prosecutor, Andrew has a depth of experience in both state and federal courts. He has handled, either as a prosecutor or a defense attorney, everything from state misdemeanor offenses to complex federal crimes. Andrew also has significant experience in the courtroom, where he has tried over 25 trials, including 12 federal jury trials. No matter how difficult or challenging your case or issue may be, Andrew will use all of his skills and abilities to zealously defend your interests.
Andrew is a first-generation American who was raised in Gainesville, Florida, and has strong ties to the Sunshine State. Andrew’s extended family also has generational and longstanding ties to the Caribbean nation of Belize. Andrew lives in Orlando, Florida with his wife and two children.
After attending law school, Andrew was hired by the legendary prosecutor Robert Morgenthau to be an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office or the “DA’s Office” as it is commonly referred to in New York. As an ADA, Andrew investigated and tried numerous felony cases. He also appeared on an almost daily basis in front of tough, no-nonsense New York City Judges. Based on his courtroom skills and abilities, Andrew was eventually selected to serve in specialized units at the DA’s Office, including the Sex Crimes Unit.
After six years in New York, Andrew decided to return home to Florida. In 2012, Andrew was hired to be a federal prosecutor in the Middle District of Florida, which is the federal district that stretches from Jacksonville through Orlando, Tampa, and Fort Myers. As a federal prosecutor, Andrew managed and prosecuted a large inventory of complex federal cases. Andrew also tried numerous cases before federal jurors, including the prosecution of a boiler room in a timeshare fraud case and the prosecution of a personal assistant who embezzled over $2 million from an NBA all-star basketball player. One of Andrew’s primary focuses as a federal prosecutor was white collar criminal matters. Andrew also prosecuted numerous drug trafficking conspiracies involving the use of federal wiretaps and other high-tech law enforcement techniques.
For his work as a federal prosecutor, Andrew received awards and commendations from various agencies and organizations, including the Department of Homeland Security - Office of Inspector General, the Florida Chapter of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators, and the United States Postal Inspection Service.
Since moving into private practice, Andrew’s primary focus has been the representation of individuals and entities in criminal investigations and prosecutions. Andrew is an aggressive advocate who strives to provide the highest caliber of legal representation to his clients.
When a person hires a criminal defense attorney, they are paying for a service, not a result. In criminal matters, it is important to hire an attorney who has experience and continues to educate themselves on the trends and developments in the law. Andrew regularly attends trainings and seminars that are specifically geared towards criminal law, trials, and white collar matters. He prides himself on keeping his knowledge, expertise, and skills sharp so that his clients receive excellent representation.
Andrew does not have other attorneys work on his cases. Instead, when a client hires Andrew, they receive his full and complete attention. In addition, Andrew believes that the most important part of serving clients is communication and keeping a client fully informed so that there are no surprises in the representation. When a client calls with a question, Andrew is the person who answers their call and speaks with them. In addition, Andrew views each of his clients as people who simply need help, and he never loses sight of the significant financial burden that comes with hiring an attorney. In sum, although Andrew can never guarantee an outcome, his goal in every case is to achieve the best result possible for his clients.
