Jennifer El Mekkaoui

Jennifer El Mekkaoui earned her J.D. from the University of Miami in 2006 where she was active in Phi Alpha Delta and invited to join the esteemed service organization, Society of Bar and Gavel. Prior to attending Law School, she earned her B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Scranton with a second major in Philosophy and minor in Psychology. After graduating law school, Jennifer began her law career as an Assistant State Attorney in Naples Florida and also later practiced in private criminal defense. Jennifer took her love of the law and legal experience to the classroom where she was a full time Professor of Undergraduate Legal Studies. 

 

Jennifer joined Cohen Grossman in 2015 as a litigation attorney where she brings her passion of the law to help consumers and small businesses fight big organizations. She travels all over the state of Florida zealously advocating for her client's interests against national insurance companies. Jennifer is also currently an Adjunct Professor of Legal Writing at the University of Central Florida. She also remains active in the legal community as a member of the Florida Justice Association and has been appointed for service on Florida Bar committees.  

 

Jennifer's practice focuses on first-party insurance litigation. She is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District.
