Britney Franchesca Penaherrera

Britney specializes in out-of-court dispute resolution in divorce and family law matters, with an emphasis on Collaborative Divorce and Mediation. Her goal is to change the way people get divorced by demonstrating that fierce advocacy and amicable resolution are not mutually exclusive. She combines strategic advocacy with a constructive approach to protect her clients' interests while minimizing conflict and prioritizing their children's well-being.

Britney's experience includes high-conflict cases, matters involving addiction, complex marital estates, and ultra-high-net-worth clients. She is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and has completed introductory, intermediate, and advanced Collaborative Divorce training. She was recognized by her peers as a 2027 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch honoree. She serves on the board of Next Generation Divorce in Tampa and is a member of the Central Florida Collaborative Divorce Group. In 2024, she was a Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals Leadership Institute Fellow. 

Britney graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2017, earning a Family Law certificate and book awards in Child Support Enforcement, Collaborative Law, and Adoption Law. Her commitment to children and families is reflected in her law school experiences, including internships with an orphanage serving children with disabilities in Beijing, China, and a children's rights advocacy organization focused on improving foster care in New York City. She also served as an Advanced Certified Legal Intern with the Virgil Hawkins Family Advocacy Clinic, handling family law cases and mentoring fellow students.
