As with the other review, I paid the retainer and then it took them way too much time to have one paper typed and served. I only had a certain amount of time before a foreclosure hearing and was trying to enforce a divorce settlement agreement before that happened. It was finally served and I was t...old a judge would be available to hear the case within a certain date range. That time came and went and when I finally got a response wondering why it had not been scheduled, I was told that he still needed to be served two more times before anything could happen. And then I had a foreclosure hearing and could not get any response. Unprofessional, unhelpful, unresponsive waste of my money and now I need to hire a new lawyer and pay another retainer.

Arthur J Higgins Esq. should be approached with extreme caution. In our case we were never ever able to get him on the phone, always just an answering service, calls go unreturned. It took as many as 5 emails, literally pleading with him to please, please contact us, for him to respond. He's also pro...ne to be less than entirely truthful. In our case he told us the case is "being processed" when it was already closed. It was all a part of a bigger story when the bail bondsman failed to pay in the 60 day period, which resulted in us losing $10.000. It's all there in the dockets, in the case file available online and he must have known what was going on, never warned us, never said a word.
