At around 10 years-old, and after realizing he had no athletic skill whatsoever, Adam Stout ditched his plan to play professional baseball, and decided to become an attorney.
As fate would have it, Adam's first job was spent one summer washing cop cars for the Alachua County Sheriff's Department. This branded him with a fascination for justice and criminal law. Soon after this, Adam joined, and later graduated from, the criminal justice magnet program at Newberry High School.
Before he graduated high school, Adam enlisted in the infantry with the Florida Army National Guard. Mind you, this was in 1999. When he joined the military, Adam thought it involved dressing up in war paint and playing with cool things that go boom - 9/11 changed that.
Adam later went on to attend the University of Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. While in college, Adam had to put his education on hold many times in order to assist his community in the wake of natural disasters and to serve in war. By this time, Adam was enlisted in the Florida Air National Guard as a combat engineer.
In 2006, Adam was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His service there earned him the Air Force Achievement Medal and Afghanistan Campaign Medal. In total, Adam served 10.5 years in the military, and was honorably discharged in 2010.
Adam obtained his law degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law in 2011. While there, he received the Pro Bono Service Award for providing free legal services to distressed veterans and to parents and legal guardians of handicap children in need.
After graduating from law school, Adam served as a prosecutor for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office. This is the fourth largest state attorney's office in the nation. During his time as a prosecutor, Adam spent thousands of hours in the courtroom, and handled well over 1,500 criminal cases involving misdemeanor and felony offenses.
From there, Adam joined forces with the law firm Schiller, Kessler & Gomez, PLC. This is one of the larges and most prestigious plaintiff's personal injury firms in South Florida. As a member of SKG's trial team, Adam was a fierce advocate on behalf of victims who had been injured as the result of someone else's negligence.
Having spent nearly five years in South Florida, and after sharpening his skills in one of the toughest legal legal communities in the country, Adam decided to move home and open his own legal practice in Gainesville, Florida. If you would like to discuss your case with Adam, call him at. He can be reached every day of the week no matter the hour. This consultation is free and confidential.
