Law Practice
Our firm handles all types of matters for families and individuals who are undergoing transitions in their lives which may be related to marriage, adoption, divorce, or death of a loved one. I greatly enjoy my practice of law in Gainesville. We have a very high quality bar and judiciary, and it is a pleasure to do what you enjoy in an ejoyable setting. We work to educate and inform our clients so that the clients, not us, are making the best decisions they can for their own futures. This applies to prenuptial agreements, adoptions, divorces, and estate planning. These are all areas that can affect a client for a long time into the future, and the decisions that are made during these sometimes stressful situations can have a long lasting effect.
Family and Fun
I try to balance work with some play. I am a very mediocre gardener, but do try to learn new things to keep my home looking as well as it can. I inherited a koi pond when I moved in, and have constant struggles trying to keep the water clear, keep the pump working, and so on. It's really a great addition to our yard, but, boy is it frustrating! I'm an animal lover, but am presently without, as we've recently put down two dogs and a cat (not all at once), who had an average age of about 13 - hard to think about replacing them
Travel and Photography
I also enjoy traveling, and have taken marvelous trips to Tanzania, Patagonia, Costa Rica, France, and Italy. In addition, in order to exercise the other side of my brain, I belong to a local photo club and we do quite a few outings each year and show our best photos at meetings. I have become nearly addicted to using Photoshop Elements and really enjoy scrapbooking the photos from my trips. I've also become the de facto historian of my family.

Highly Effective
Swanson Law Firm represented me in an appeal of an estate-related case which was not a high-dollar matter. As the firm was smaller, I received focused attention and prompt replies to all inquiries from the staff- which was quite welcome after having had at least eight lawyers refuse to fight for me b...

caring attorney
Cynthia Swanson helped me through my divorce proceedings when my husband left me and I didn't see it coming -- I felt like a Mac truck hit me. I was in trauma and didn't know what to do. She picked up the legal side of things for me and worked with me to pay her back -- because I had nothing. It took...

If you have a family law issue, Cynthia Swanson is the best. Don't hesitate.
Cynthia Swanson has represented me on a number of occasions, most recently this summer. She was actually recommended to me by another local attorney, but I was already familiar with her professional reputation in this area. She is widely recognized for her honesty, professionalism, integrity, and exp...

Expensive, Nickel-Dimer, Non-Producer: Run Away!
I hired CSS to help with problems getting visitation with my son. While she promised the moon, she never seemed to make any progress toward resolving the issue. She bills for everything! Send her an email asking for an update - she charges to read it. Call and leave a message - she charges for th...
