Nick Whitney is a distinguished attorney and partner at Childers Law, LLC. Nick served as trial counsel in the Kowalski v. Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital case, highlighted in the Netflix documentary Take Care of Maya, which resulted in a $261,000,000 verdict – one of the largest medical malpractice verdicts in Florida’s history. He then served as General Counsel for a real estate development firm. Since 2018, Nick has been focused on civil litigation.
Nick’s broad civil litigation practice focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, aviation law and related disputes, employment law, and constitutional and civil rights issues.
He continues to serve in the Navy Reserve as a Judge Advocate General. Nick holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Nebraska and a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School.
